ITANAGAR, Aug 29: The Kargu Kardi Students' Union (KKSU) held a weeklong education tour and career counseling programme from August 19-27 last to commemorate its foundation day.
The union invited two prolific and eminent counsellors, Ranjan K Baruah, Chairman North East Youth Foundation (NEYF) and Yomjum Yomgam, Chairman Young Mission Adventure Club (YAMC) as resource persons.
The resource persons while addressing the various schools that falls under the KKSU's jurisdiction emphasized on the need of proper Career Counselling which will clear the perplexity in career choosing and broadening the right track and job opportunities in various sphere.
Further, the KKSU also held a length of discussion with concerned authorities of various schools and student communities. Based on feedback and grievances placed, the KKSU has written to the Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Director of School Education, West Siang district seeking remedial measures. Requirement of subject teachers at government Secondary School Darak and government higher secondary school Liromoba, Shifting of Compartmental Examination Centre of Class X from Likabali to Aalo, and many others were among the demands flagged.
