ITANAGAR, Aug 25: Kick boxer  Yura Tade (24) who died after sustaining brain injury during a match at Chennai, was laid to rest at his residence at Chimpu near here on Thursday.
Minister Sports & Youth Affairs Mama Natung along with Secretary Sports Anirudh Singh, Director Sports Tadar Apa and Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) president Bamang Tago attended the funeral amidst hundreds of people from all walks of life who gathered to pay tribute to the late player. 
Addressing the gathering, Natung termed the sudden demise of Tade as a loss for the family and for the entire state. "The death of the young promising player is unfortunate and the people of the state pour their deepest condolences to the family. Let the departed soul rest in eternal peace in heavenly abode," he said.
Natung also added that the department with consultation with the Chief Minister  will soon announce to name sports infrastructure in the name of the late kick boxer.
Likewise, the normal procedure of ex gratia to the deceased will also be handed over to the family by the sports department and the state government, he added.
Meanwhile, elder brother of the deceased has claimed negligence and  sought a detailed medical report.
He claimed that Tade was conscious before being taken to the operating room and had spoken to him over the phone. According to the doctor, he (Tade) had a brain injury and needed major operation.
“I am shocked to know that my brother got a major injury in a light touch fight. Moreover, he was fine after the fight. The game is questionable as well as the entire treatment procedure,” he said, adding that even the attendant and the coach said that my brother was conscious before being taken the operation room.
According to the attendant, who is also a sports player, he was informed by the doctor that Tade had internal bleeding in the brain and needed immediate major surgery.
“MP Kiren Rijiju and Minister Mama Natung have been very helpful in the course of medical treatment and in bringing the body of the deceased to the state. While Rijiju called on the head of Rajiv Gandhi government hospital for every possible effort to save the boy, Natung called  Tamil Nadu Sports Minister to provide logistic help to the family,” the attendant said.
