ITANAGAR, Jan 17: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has expressed profound grief and condoled the demise of Balo Dachak, father of Palin MLA and Advisor Power Balo Raja, who passed away recently.
Khandu, who is out of the state on official purposes, in a condolence message today said that Late Dachak shall always be remembered for his work for social upliftment of the rural populace of the then undivided Subansiri district.
“Late Dachak, who became a Gaon Bura in the young age of 20 in 1958 served the people with utmost dedication and sincerity. His stint as Anchal Samiti Member (ASM) from 1972 to 79 will also be remembered by the people for several novel reforms in rural administration as well as societal changes,” Khandu said.
“We must take solace that late Dachak was a popular person, kind and giving with full of life. May Lord Buddha bless the departed soul eternal peace,” the Chief minister added.
