YACHULI, Sep 3: The Keyi Panyor District Police, under the dynamic leadership of Superintendent of Police, Angad Mehta have gone beyond the call of duty by transforming the infrastructure of Government Residential School, Lichlith, under their Civic Action Programme.
Responding to the urgent needs of the students, the police installed 25 modern ceiling fans and completely overhauled the school’s faulty electrical system, turning dilapidated classrooms into safe and comfortable spaces for learning.
The initiative was born out of SP Mehta’s personal visit to the school, where he noted the hardships faced by students due to poor facilities. Inspired by the school’s legacy of academic excellence, he assured immediate action to uplift its infrastructure.
Inspector Tabong Pasar and SI Gonya Chisi formally handed over the upgraded facilities to Headmistress Pinky Gajmer Likha in a ceremony attended by teachers, students, and police officials, marking a new chapter of partnership between the school and the force.
By taking this people-centric initiative, the Keyi Panyor Police demonstrated that policing is not just about law enforcement but also about empowering communities, nurturing education, and building trust with the public, stated a release.
