ITANAGAR, May 3:Guwahati High Court single bench has reserved the judgment on a petition filed by the former APCC President Padi Richo challenging the merger of 43 INC MLAs to PPA on 16th September 2016 terming the merger as illegal and unconstitutional.
The matter was admitted and hearing started on 4 January 2017. After series of hearing and extension, Justice Bujor Baruah of Guwahati High Court at court no 14 concluded its final hearing and sealed the judgment today.
Senior counsels KC Mittal and Ravi Shangkar represented Petitioner (INC party) whereas Rakesh Dwivedi and Niloy Dutta represented respondents.
