ROING, Oct 17: Joint Secretary, PMGSY, Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India, Amit Shukla inspected the proposed road alignments to Vibrant Villages namely New Emali & Ahungo in Etalin-Malinye and Anini-Mipi blocks of Dibang Valley districts.
He was accompanied by Director (RC) and Technical Advisor to CM (GoAP) and Chief Engineer (PMGSY).
There are 12 habitations on Indo-China border that are to be connected under Vibrant Village Programme in Dibang Valley district. All these habitations are located in complex hilly terrain at high altitude and snow bound area. These habitations once connected will improve overall socio-economic condition in the district.
There are 125 habitations to be connected in the State under Vibrant Village Programme launched by the Govt. of India recently. The Rural Works Department has already prepared 105 Detailed Project Reports for a length of 1022 kms with 94 long span bridges to provide connectivity to habitations identified under Vibrant Village Project on Indo-China border.
The Joint Secretary interacted with the local MLA, District Administration and villagers in his two- day tour to the district and discussed all proposed programme in Vibrant Village programme as per action plan prepared by the district administration including connectivity proposals in details with all the field engineers. A review meeting on PMGSY projects was also convened by the Joint Secretary where he suggested to expedite implementation so as to complete all ongoing projects with extended deadline of March next year. Important suggestions was provided by the visiting Joint Secretary for effective implementation of the VVP in the district.
