Pasighat, Sep 22: Department of Zoology, Jawaharlal Nehru College Pasighat organised an international webinar titled ‘Sustainable Aquaculture Management in South-East Asia’ here on Tuesday.
Principal JNC Pasighat Dr. Milorai Modi was the patron and Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Zoology Dr Keshav Kumar Jha was the Organising Secretary. Dr Jha highlighted the aquaculture probability in India and Southeast Asia in relation to the new Central scheme titled ‘Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana’ which aims to bring Blue Revolution through sustainable and responsible development of the fisheries sector in the country.
Vice-Principal Dr. S. D. Choudhary, IQAC In-Charge Dr D. P. Panda, Professor S. P Biswas from the Department of Life Sciences, Dibrugarh University and Fisheries Scientist and Guest Professor from Bangladesh Agricultural University Dr. Binay Kumar Chakroborty spoke on relevant topics. A total of 252 participants from India and abroad registered for the webinar. JNC PR
