PASIGHAT, Jun 10: Sonalika Jiwani, a 2017 batch IAS (AGMUT) joined as the new Deputy Commissioner of East Siang district today. Soon after joining, she expressed her commitment to take forward the district a “notch higher” in all aspects of public services and development initiatives. She mentioned of being inspired by her predecessor, the outgoing DC  Tayi Taggu’s zeal towards public service.  
While spelling out her priorities, she also expressed her keenness to work for urban sector development  with lots of projects in the pipeline and focused implementation of government development and welfare schemes. so that fruits of development reach the grassroot level. 
Having taken charge of one of the most performing districts in the state, the new Deputy  Commissioner said that the support of all members of Team East Siang will surely  take the district to greater heights  and stressed on dedication, strong work ethics and team spirit. DIPRO
