YUPIA, Dec 5: Jiken Bomjen has taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare district on Tuesday. A 1995 batch APCS officer, Bomjen was serving as ADC, Itanagar Capital Region. He has also served as circle officer in Sagalee, Damin, Palin, Toru, Hayuliang, Roing, Doimukh and as EAC at Rupa and ICR and as Project Director in West Siang.
Interacting with the head of departments and administrative officers of Papum Pare during a farewell meeting arranged for the outgoing DC Cheechung Chukhu, Bomjen called for cooperation and coordinated efforts from all the officers to ensure optimal socio-economic development of the district.
Stressing on team work with special reference to the ensuing assembly elections, Bomjen also appealed to all the officers to be proactive and sought their cooperation.
He also said that meeting e- pragati targets, that are symbolic to the all-round development of the district and protecting government land from encroachments especially in the township area would be few of his priorities.
