ITANAGAR, Dec 1: In the wake of the continued arrests in the 'Cash for Job' scam involving the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) by the Special Investigation Cell(SIC), the aggrieved aspirants  today urged Chief Minister Pema Khandu to declare the RWD-JE(Civil) examination held recently under the APPSC as null & void.
Speaking to the reporters at the press club today, aspirants claimed that the investigating agency has already established that the Controller of Examination Taket Jerang is involved in selling question papers to many candidates. Moreover, SIC has already arrested four persons-- Kendar Bagra, Kenjom Bagra , Eagle Sora and  Thomas Gaduk  (who could not qualify the exam even after buying the question paper) which proves that there is foul play in the said examination.
The aspirants stated that they are very sure of the involvement of many more candidates in the scam. After exposure of Taket Jerang, the mains exam  of A.E. (Civil) 2022 was cancelled immediately due to ill practice of cash for job scam. So, we the aggrieved candidates also demand for the immediate cancellation of the RWD J.E. (Civil) 2022, due to the involvement of the same person in both exams.
On various platforms, CM Pema Khandu claimed  his government's 'Zero tolerance' against corruption, so justice will prevail and be delivered to all the deprived youths of the state if the CM declares the recently held  RWD's JE (Civil) exam as Null and Void, stated the aspirants.
In a separate press conference, the deprived candidates of the Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) examination claimed that they have filed an FIR in the SIC  against the officials and members of the Commission claiming anomalies in the recruitment process of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) conducted by the  Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).
The FIR was filed against 16 individuals, ranging from the Chairman, Secretary, members, controller of examination, and other officials of the Commission.
Addressing the media persons at the press club here today, one of the aspirants said that besides anomalies, the deprived aspirants strongly believe that there have been unfair means in recruitment as Deputy Secretary Taket Jerang has been arrested by the SIC in connection with the AE (Civil) paper leakage case.
He said that Jerang was the  Controller of the Exam for the post of ACF conducted by APPSC in the month of July this year. Jerang has been arrested for selling question papers to his kith & kin, therefore, the aspirants are very much convinced of his involvement in the ACF examination.
“Moreover, the Commission had put questions out of syllabus during the screening recruitment test. The matter was informed to the then APPSC secretary Jayanta Kumar Ray, who even accepted the mistake but never rectified it,” he said.
It was clearly mentioned that only general studies (GS) and general knowledge (GK) will be asked in the Prelims. But, surprisingly the Commission questioned elementary maths, English grammar, and even C-SAT questions, he added.
The deprived candidates demanded the SIC should question the Commission on who prepared the question paper for the ACF examination and also disclose the names of 55 candidates selected in the prelims examination.
