Naharlagun, Mar 3: Itanagar is all set to host the 'Divya Kala Shakti'-- a cultural event by Divyangjans at the DK convention center on March 4.
The Departments of Social Justice and Empowerment and Tribal Affairs, WCD and Health in collaboration with Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research, Cuttack, Odisha under DEPWD, ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GOI are organising the event which will be attended by the Governor, CM and a host of VVIPS. 
In this connection, a press conference was held today in the DKCC conference hall which was addressed by Health minister Alo Libang, Jt. Secretary, DEPWD, GOI and Commissioner, SJETA. The minister while thanking the GOI for selecting Arunachal as the host state for the unique cultural event, lauded the organizers for the noble initiative that will go a long way to encourage the artistes with disabilities and provide them the much needed fillip and impetus to face the challenges of life. 
The Joint Secretary, DEPWD, GOI said that the main objective of organising the event was to provide a platform to the Divyangjan to showcase their talents adding that the event held at Rashrapati Bhawan was highly appreciated by the President of India in 2019. He further said that the event is being held at Itanagar to facilitate artistes from the North-East with participation of artistes from few other states of the country. 

Earlier, while welcoming the guests and mediapersons, Commissioner of Social Justice Empowerment and Tribal Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, threw light on the purpose and objective of organizing the mega cultural event at Itanagar. She expressed happiness over the preparations and said that it is a matter of pride to host a cultural event of such magnitude. 
The press conference was attended by invitees, representatives of DIPR and mediapersons from the state.
