PASIGHAT, Jul 23:  Irked and saddened over the power department’s inordinate delay in restoration of snapped 132 kv and 33 kv line despite passage of a week, the Pasighat Peoples’ Welfare Committee announced resumption of 12 hours East Siang bandh on 25 July next.

Earlier the committee deferred its 17^th July bandh call after intervention of the district administration and assurances given by both Power and Planning & Transmission Executive Engineers headed by SE, Power.

While talking to this reporter, PPWC Chairman Okom Yosung said this evening that, the department of Power and Transmission & Planning has failed to deliver its assurances given in a coordination meeting held on 15^th July last under the Chairmanship of DC, Pasighat.
