PASIGHAT, Jul 23:  Irked and saddened over the power department’s inordinate delay in restoration of snapped 132 kv and 33 kv line despite passage of a week, the Pasighat Peoples’ Welfare Committee announced resumption of 12 hours East Siang bandh on 25 July next.

Earlier the committee deferred its 17th July bandh call after intervention of the district administration and assurances given by both Power and Planning & Transmission Executive Engineers headed by SE, Power.

While talking to this reporter, PPWC Chairman Okom Yosung said this evening that, the department of Power and Transmission & Planning has failed to deliver its assurances given in a coordination meeting held on 15th July last under the Chairmanship of DC, Pasighat.
