PASIGHAT, May 4: Inter-ministerial team headed by V. Shashank Shekhar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI, along with Secretary Disaster Management, J Angu, Director Disaster Management, YWRingu and CE (WRD)Er. L Angu, visited East Siang on Wednesday to assess the loss and damages, caused by devastating floods in 2016. Deputy Commissioner East Siang, Tamiyo Tatak briefed the visiting team about enormous loss of government and public properties etc including rescue and relief operation, remedial measures taken during and post flood period undertaken by the District Administration. HoDs presented damage reports through power point presentation.
