Itanagar, Sep 10: The Department of Cooperation conducted an induction training for newly appointed cooperative officers at the Cooperative Training Centre, Naharlagun today.
Inaugurating the 10-day training programme, Secretary Cooperation, Dr Sonal Swaroop, IAS, encouraged and motivated the officers to do their best for the overall growth of the sector. Quoting Verghese Kurien, who is known as the Father of the White Revolution, she said “Cooperatives are the vehicle to take the country forward.” 
The training held under the guidance of Principal, Cooperative Training Centre, Kenbi Riba, DRCS, aims to equip officers with developing skills for better performance in capacity building and better management of the cooperative sector.
Among the resource persons was Manpower Development and Management Institute (MDMI)
Guwahati, faculty Sushil Kumar Sarker. He has written several books relating to the cooperative societies and its movement.
