Yupia, Oct 5: The much-anticipated Indrajit Namchoom Arunachal League 2025 officially commenced on October 4, and will run until the 8th of November. A total of ten teams are participating in this exciting tournament. The opening ceremony captivated attendees with vibrant performances by Ngurang Julie, the Tani Daughter Crew, and K4Kekho. Midway through the event, a spectacular fireworks display lit up the sky, adding a burst of excitement for everyone present.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu praised Indrajit Namchoom for his contributions and expressed optimism for the future of football in the state. He emphasized that leagues like this would create economic opportunities for players and highlighted upcoming projects aimed at strengthening sports infrastructure. He thanked the team owners for their support and extended his best wishes to all ten teams. Following his remarks, he officially declared the tournament open.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein underscored the importance of early coaching for young talents and expressed hope that such tournaments would help identify and nurture new players. He noted that several stadiums are already functional, with more under development to further enhance the state’s sporting ecosystem.
The event kicked off with an exciting opening match between Patkai United FC and Subansiri United FC, marking the beginning of a promising football season for Arunachal Pradesh.
