Itanagar, Feb 12: India’s largest airline IndiGo is ‘set’ to launch its direct flight service from Donyi Polo Airport, Itanagar to Delhi and vice versa, starting March 2 next, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said on Sunday.
“Glad that @IndiGo6E is starting Itanagar to Delhi & Delhi to Itanagar flight from March 2,” Khandu said in a tweet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Donyi Polo Airport, the State’s lone Greenfield airport on November 19 last year.
“So gratifying that since inauguration of Donyi Polo Airport by PM Narendra Modi Ji, Arunachal is getting connected with new air routes. Do visit #AmazingArunachal,” Khandu tweeted. In response to Khandu’s post, IndiGo said, “Sir, It’s a great feeling to know that Arunachal Pradesh is becoming more connected to the rest of the country. We encourage everyone to explore the beauty of #AmazingArunachal and all that it has to offer. Looking forward to welcoming everyone on board real soon.” (UNI)
