PASIGHAT, Jul 3: On the occasion of Gurupurnima, fifteen Indigenous Priets or 'Tabes' were felicitated at Ruksin Gangging in East Siang District.  Presidents of the Donyi Polo Ganggings were also honoured on the occasion.
The event was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti Pasighat Nagar. Guru Purnima marks the occasion to honour our Indigenous gurus or priests who play an important role towards preservation of indigenous traditions, customs and values. The function was attended by many elders and intellectuals. President Donyi Polo Gangging Ruksin Omir Tatin, Head Tabe Taken Jonnom, Sampark Pramukh Tayom Dai and Group Captain (Rtd) Mohonto Panging Pao  spoke on the occasion.
