Wakro, Aug 28: The Anu Shiksha Seva Trust celebrated Dao Division of the Indian Army by reaching out to children and elders in need of care. G. Ramesh the Executive Director of Indian Oil offered the Ghanshyam Singh Katoch Prakalp assistance under the Beena Ghose Roy Scheme to an 'apne' in need of care. The Indian Oil Executive Director also visited the Anusaran the Apna academic building and appreciated the good quality infrastructure created for educational advancement of the children. He also visited the hostels before interacting with the rural school children who presented dances and sang for the visiting dignitary. Ramesh also dedicated a comic corner for the hostels by handing over packets of story books for the children which was gifted by Sri Prasanta Borkakoty, former RCE OIL and Col Sandeep Kurup, CO of 4 Madras (WLI). The ED was also presented with a detailed report on welfare measures taken up by the Indian Army in the region along with a brief report on service initiatives of the Anu Shiksha Seva Trust.
The Anu Shiksha Seva Trust earlier had celebrated the Dao Division by celebrating the birthday of its Div Commander by reaching out to elders and children in need of care. Smt Jija Madhavan Hari Singh, Former DGP of Karnataka, Pankaj Rajgarhia, Sri Prabhat Dhandhania, Surajmal Jalan Charitable Trust, Ms Indu Rao, Dr Seema Yadav, Col Shona George, Dr Rakesh Tyagi, APCS officers Jayanti Pertin, SDO, Lui Shiba, SDO & Sotailum Bellai, ADC Hayuliang, Kenge Angu, AE, PH&WS, Sosay Manyu and Mantaw Bellai made generous financial contributions to support ASSET service initiatives.
The ED Indian Oil was accompanied by Saurav Chaliha, GM, CSR, IOCL and Solei Kumrah, Divisional LPG Head of the Indian Oil. General Manager Saurav Chaliha handed over the Geeta Katoch Vidya Prakalp financial assistance to an Apne while Solei Kumrah handed over the Jija Madhavan Hari Singh Prakalp assistance for medical treatment of an elder under the Beena Ghose Roy Scheme of the ASSET. The ED in his address emphasised that the Indian Oil has always supported social welfare initiatives and the same will continue for the progress of the people and the region.
