Wakro, Sep 3: The Dao Division of the Indian Army organized a visit program for the students of the Apna Vidya Bhavan and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Wakro to the Dinjan Military Station with an aim to provide an opportunity to the children to know the Indian Army and to felicitate the association of the Dao Division with the schools of Wakro. 
Students were given an educative briefing on small fire arms and weapons including a demonstration on the  howitzer gun that was recently added to strengthen the fire power of the Indian Army. The students also visited the Div War Memorial, the Puffing Billy a WW-II railway engine on display and the Div Heritage Hall.
Community leaders Sohan Krong, former ASM, Chiharang, Baling Ngadong, youth leader and Banan Tamblu, former Chairperson of Manchal Gram Panchayat called on Col Arun Sashi, Col GS of the Dao Divn. They expressed gratitude towards the recent initiative taken by the 181 Mountain Brigade for launching a critical bridge in the Chaglagam which was an urgent need of the people of the border area. Col Arun assured that the Division and the Indian Army is always happy to reach out to communities through various welfare measures and that the Indian Army will continue to do whatever is possible to ease the lives of countrymen especially in the difficult and border areas. 
During the 'At Home',  the Chairperson of the Family Welfare Organization of the Dao Division interacted closely with the students, teachers and staff members of the schools.
