ITANAGAR, Oct 14: Arunachal Pradesh Wushu team came in second place in the 36th National Games-2022, held in Gujarat, by bagging four gold and one silver medals, just behind Services Sports Control Board while Manipur came third place. This is the best ever performance of Arunachal Pradesh in the national games till date.
The team was given a grand welcome upon arrival at the Naharlagun Railway Station today by the All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association (AAPWA) and the Sports Department led by Director Tadar Appa.
The AAPWA praised Wushu team coach  M. Premchandra Singh for his dedication and effort. He has been training the players for the last 10 years. President Tach Tadar encouraged the players to prove their talent again by bringing more medals in the ensuing 2nd North East Olympic Game (Wushu) to be held at Shillong next month.
AAPWA's Toko Teki (Adviser), Aje Dolo (VP), Abo Lukham (GS), Taring Liyak (Treasurer) & other executive members were also present.
