ITANAGAR, May 29:Executive Director, Commercial, Corporate Head Office New Delhi, SK Agrawala visited the Hospitality Skill trainees of Don Bosco Youth Centre here today. While addressing the 50 trainees hailing from Arunachal, Assam, Nagaland and Manipur, being sponsored under the CSR initiative of NHPC, Agrawala spoke of the importance of skilling oneself to earn a decent living. He also exhorted the trainees to work hard during the training period so as to stand the test of work output of ten to eleven hours once placed in the industry.
Ronel Kumar, ED, NHPC Ltd., Itanagar who accompanied the visiting head also interacted with the trainees and staff of DBYC and expressed great satisfaction over the training. He also spoke of the many CSR initiatives that his office has initiated for the welfare of the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
Fr. Cyriac, Director, DBYC thanked the visiting officials and NHPC for the CSR initiative. Incidentally in addition to Skill Training of youth, NHPC has rolled out a series of CSR initiatives such as construction of toilets in government schools of the Capital Complex so as to fasten the process of getting Capital Complex declared open defecation free; skill training of differently abled through National Youth Project; distribution of wheel chairs, hearing aids and electronic walking sticks to Mother’s Home, Ziro and faculty up-gradation training of ITI Roing and ITI Tabarijo.
