ITANAGAR, Jul 21: The Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) is the sole authority to issue Trading License in IMC jurisdiction,  said Mayor Tame Phassang while speaking to the media after conducting the joint meeting between IMC and Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Region here on Thursday.
Elaborating about the meeting, Mayor informed that various important issues related to the all-round development of IMC jurisdiction were held. Since the formation of Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC), our team has rolled up its sleeves to work for the welfare of the public. However there was some confusion related to the Trading licenses and other issues, so in today’s meeting, we discussed all the issues to clear the confusion, he said.
IMC is the sole authority to issue Trading license in its jurisdiction. There were some reports that other government offices are also issuing Trading licenses to various people or organizations but it is to inform all that only IMC has the authority to issue the licenses for various businesses in its jurisdiction, clarified Phassang. He also added that no other authority or NGO can collect any kind of fees from business establishments or other institutions. The joint meeting also discussed many things related to solid waste, parking lots, and many more.
