Itanagar, Dec 17: Mayor Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Tame Phassang launched the Swasthya Vahan during an awareness programme at Banderdewa today in the presence of Commissioner IMC Likha Teji, Asstt.Commissioner Datum Gadi, Corporators along with the IEC (information, education & communication) team of IMC.
Led by the Mayor, the team carried out solid waste management programme along with awareness on penalties on violation of littering on streets, drains and water bodies.
The programme was held at Banderdewa, Nirjuli and five other locations in Naharlagun and Pappunallah area.
The Mayor informed that the programme will also be held in major locations at Itanagar in the coming days.
During the programme, IMC brand ambassador Tengam Celine Koyu, Miss Arunachal 2021 informed the public about various penalties, IMC app 101 , garbage management etc. She also appealed the public to adhere to sanitation rules and to keep the town clean.
