NAHARLAGUN, May 19: IMC corporator Tarh Achak today contributed thirty-five umbrellas to be used by the police personnel currently working on the capital streets to enforce containment orders.
Representing Ward 16, Achak informed that the contribution is a mark of gratitude to the police and security personnel including the Itanagar Traffic Wardens working hard to implement the curfew order (CrPc 144).
“Irrespective of scorching heat and torrential rainfall, these personnel continue discharging their duties and it’s a little help to keep them safe from flu and viral fever,” the corporator said.
Meanwhile, Itanagar Police Station OC Inspector Phasang Simi while lauding Achak’s initiative said that such gestures will motivate police personnel and all those working for the welfare of the masses.
