Gumto, Jul 16: An inner line permit (ILP) checking drive cum awareness was carried out at Gumto during which more than 150 individuals were found passing through the check gate without valid ILP.
The drive which was carried out by the Circle Officer Taya Yullu with the assistance of All Papum Pare District Border Students Union on Saturday, also informed the defaulters about the requirement of possessing a valid ILP for entry into the State.
Awareness on penal provisions and the online facility available for applying ILP though the portal arunachaleilp.com were given to all passerby.
The CO also informed that in order to avoid public inconvenience, facilitation counter for issue of provisional ILP has been set up by his office .
