Itanagar, June 3: The Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP), has condoled the death of Ajem Tayeng, retired Director of Accounts and Treasuries.
Late Ajem Tayeng was a dedicated public servant and a revered community leader. His exemplary service to the state, especially in his capacity as Director of Accounts and Treasuries, reflected his commitment to integrity and excellence, it said.
As a graduate of St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, and having begun his career as an Assistant Audit Officer, his professional journey was marked by dedication, sincerity, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Beyond his official duties, he was a passionate custodian of indigenous faith and culture. His contributions as Former President of Central Donyi Polo Yelam Kebang, Former President of IFCSAP East Siang Unit, and Former President of Tayeng Welfare Society are a testament to his lifelong commitment to preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage and traditional values.
Hailing from Bodak village of Mebo Division, and residing in Gumin Nagar, Pasighat, late Ajem Tayeng will be remembered for his wisdom, humility, and tireless service to the community, IFCSAP said in a statement today.
He is survived by his wife Yasong Tamut Tayeng, two daughters and two sons.
