Naharlagun, Oct 18: The State Level Governor’s G.K. Quiz Competition was successfully conducted at Government Higher Secondary School, Naharlagun, today, showcasing the intellectual talent of students from across Arunachal Pradesh.
Organized by the Department of Secondary Education, the event aimed to encourage academic excellence and promote a spirit of healthy competition among students. Thirteen districts participated in the prestigious quiz, though a few teams could not attend due to technical reasons.
Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) secured the first position, followed by Tirap in second and West Kameng in third.
Chief Guest Tanyang Tatak, Joint Director of Secondary Education, commended the participants for their enthusiasm and knowledge, noting that such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing critical thinking and awareness among students.
Guest of Honour Tanya Kamdak, Nodal Officer (Academic), highlighted that the competition reflects the growing academic strength and curiosity of students across the state.
Principal and event coordinator Phassang Sama expressed gratitude to all the participating schools and the Education Department for their support. He said the competition not only tests knowledge but also inspires students to develop a deeper interest in learning and current affairs.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates and trophies to the winners, marking another successful chapter in the state’s effort to foster academic excellence.
