Bomdila, Oct 17: The Kameng Hydro Power Station (KaHPS), Kimi, NEEPCO Ltd. has partnered with the District TB Centre, Bomdila, as a Ni-Kshay Mitra under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to support the nationwide campaign to eliminate tuberculosis (TB).
As part of this initiative, representatives from NEEPCO distributed nutritional food baskets to 65 TB patients at the General Hospital, Bomdila.
Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, NEEPCO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the District TB Centre, Bomdila, on September 22, to provide nutritional food baskets to 65 TB patients for a period of six months. The aim is to improve nutritional support for the early recovery of the patients.
Noticeable nutritional improvements have already been observed among patients within just one month of the programme’s implementation, District TB Officer N. Drema informed.
A.C. Sharma, Deputy General Manager; Dr. Himangshu Barman, Deputy Chief Medical Officer; Mimar Ete, Head of Security from KaHPS, Kimi, NEEPCO , Dr. S. Yomcha, MS, GH, Bomdila, and others were present during the event. (DIPRO)
