ITANAGAR, Jun 6: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has expressed concern over the treatment meted out to APCS officer Somcha Lowang who has been transferred out as Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri.
Transfer and posting is totally a prerogative of the state government and we are not questioning it but the way, she (Lowang) is made to face humiliation is unfortunate and is setting a bad example in society, the APWWS said in a release today.
It further said that such case needs the intervention of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women which is the statutory body established for the welfare of women in the state.
