Itanagar, Mar 23: A one-day workshop on “Teacher Education in Transition: A New Paradigm under NEP 2020" was conducted today at the APSCTE Conference Hall, DH & TE Campus, Itanagar by the Arunachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission, Itanagar (A statutory Body of Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh).
The workshop aimed to deliberate on the evolving landscape of teacher education in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and to sensitise the stakeholders about the new regulatory and academic frameworks.
The session was graced by Prof. Dr. Dibyajyoti Mahanta, Chairperson, Eastern Regional Committee, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, as the Resource Person. He provided valuable insights into the reforms, challenges, and opportunities in teacher education under NEP 2020.
A total of 5 Universities and 13 Private Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) from Arunachal Pradesh actively participated in the workshop. The participants engaged in meaningful discussions and shared perspectives on strengthening teacher education in the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
The workshop concluded on a positive note, emphasising collaborative efforts among institutions and regulatory bodies to ensure quality teacher education and effective implementation of NEP 2020.
