YUPIA, Mar 22: To strengthen the health facilities for institutional delivery services of pregnant woman under various government schemes,1st District Accreditation Committee meeting of District Health Society(DHS) Papum Pare District was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Papumpare Tai Kaye here today.
Terming the initiative of DHS as significant, Kaye opined that all hospitals including private hospitals have a greater role to play in effective implementation of all government programmes and policies. ‘Facilities must reach to the grassroots irrespective of their caste or creed,’ he added while exhorting private health institutions to cooperate with the DHS and to emphasise on availing facility of cashless transaction.
While briefing on the various government schemes, DRCHO Dr. J Ado informed that the main focus will be on implementation of two pilot projects- Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) and Family Planning. He further said that on receipt of letter of interest of accreditation from private hospitals, three members District Assessment Team (DAT) comprising DMO, DRCHO and Senior Specialist Gynaecologist, TRIMHS, Naharlagun will inspect the hospitals and based upon the satisfactory report of the team, hospital will be accredited.
Dr Ado also informed that government will provide fund to the accredited private hospitals for every delivery which will be remitted into the account of concerned hospitals.
Among others, District Medical Officer, Papum Pare Dr. Kampu Tasso, Deputy Director PHE,Dr. Lollen , Secretary RK Mission Hospital Swami Vishweshananda, Senior Gynaecologist Dr. Bengia Mala and representatives from Heema Hospital, Niba Hospital and Hormin Hospital also attended the meeting. DIPRO
