ITANAGAR, Mar 20: A new state of the art “M4 Medtronic Microdebrider” for endoscopic sinus surgery with inbuilt suction and irrigation, which can cut tissues with 360 degrees accessibility, was installed here today at Heema private healthcare centre, Itanagar.

To test the robustness of the machine, ENT surgeon Dr. Kesang W Thongdok operated two critical sinus patients referred from Tawang and Pasighat respectively.

The M4 Microdebrider is multi functional & can also be used for Vocal Cord Surgery, larnyo-pharyngeal (throat) tumours and for ear surgery, the hospital said in a release.
