ITANAGAR, Nov 7: Hockey Arunachal joined the nationwide celebration of 100 Years of Indian Hockey with great enthusiasm by organizing a friendly hockey match between District Units at the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy, Chimpu, Itanagar, on Friday.
The event witnessed active participation from executive members of Hockey Arunachal, players, and hockey enthusiasts, symbolising unity and pride for the hockey fraternity in Arunachal Pradesh. The friendly match served as a testament to the growing passion and commitment toward reviving and promoting hockey in the state.
Likha Vida, Principal of Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy, and Harnam Singh, MPH, State-level Khelo India Centre, graced the occasion as special guests. Both dignitaries motivated young players with inspiring words, encouraging them to carry forward the legacy of Indian hockey with dedication and determination.
Extending heartfelt gratitude to all participants, supporters, and sports lovers, Hockey Arunachal Secretary Adv. Sonam Tenzing expressed appreciation for the overwhelming response to the event. He reaffirmed Hockey Arunachal’s commitment to fostering the spirit of hockey and nurturing talent across Arunachal Pradesh.
