PASIGHAT, Mar 18:  The East Siang police today arrested two Assam residents and recovered heroin from their possession.
East Siang Superintendent of Police Sumit Kr Jha informed that specific information was received today regarding sale of contraband by two persons staying in a hotel at Pasighat. Subsequently, a team was constituted who carried out a raid and recovered 48.74 gms of suspected heroin from two Assam residents, namely Altab Hussain (48) and Binod Sahan (40).
Case under NDPS Act has been registered at PS Pasighat.
Further investigation is on to find backward and forward linkages and their other associates, informed Jha.
