ITANAGAR, May 25:Due to landslide resulting from incessant rain Wednesday night, the lone approach road to Senki view was bloacked at two areas—Lobi Panchali and Panchali Senki leading to  disruption in traffic movement for few hours Thursday morning.

However, on learning about the landslide, a team from PWD CD-A, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner cum chairman DDMA, Prince Dhawan immediately rushed to the spot and cleared the landslide using necessary machinery, besides many choked drains were also cleared along the highway.

Meanwhile, DC Prince Dhawan has called upon all the denizens of the Capital Complex to take extra preventive measures especially to the people residing nearby riverside and slopes and urged them to remain alert during the monsoon season.

“The citizens may report any natural calamities such as drain blockages, flooding and landslides to Emergency Operating Centre (EOC) at toll free nos. “1077”, DC further added.
