RAGA, Sep 8: Heavy downpour on the night of September 6, has caused damages across several circles of Kamle District. Rain caused landslides and inundated many government and private residence at district headquarters Raga. The main water supply pipeline was also heavily damaged which has affected water supply to the residents of the district headquarters. Restoration work on war footing is under way which may take time.
Report of damages to agriculture fields and water supply structures has been reported from several villages of Kamporijo Circle. Local MLA Tarin Dakpe has urged the District Administration and the DDMO, Raga to asses the damages caused and extend all necessary assistance to the affected families.
