NAMSAI, Jul 21: The Namsai District Task Force on Immunisation (DTFI) held a meeting for Routine Immunization cum orientation of Measles & Rubella elimination and various programmes on Friday.
Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, CR Khampa urged the house to work in synergy to reduce the gaps and to achieve the targeted goal. Citing the need for convergence and community participation, he advised other Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) to emulate the activities of HWC, Dharampur which is the only centre in the district to be granted NQAS certification. He was elated to learn that ANC registrations have improved manifold in the district. “Health Wellness Officers of the areas where institutional delivery is low, should publicise the merits and should do a gap analysis," the DC said.
In the meeting, DRCHO, Dr Yomcha highlighted the action taken report on the last DTFI meeting and reviewed the field monitoring reports. The reorientation of various programs was done and timeline for future activities were chalked out.
During the meeting detailed review on immunisation status of the district, performance of health and wellness centres, facility wise RI performance, all programmes under Reproductive and Child Health, NVBDCP etc., was done. Emphasising the importance of correct base line data collection, he said “No household should be left out during head count survey and IMI should be marked." HWOs were enquired on their performances and issues faced by them. 
DMO, DRCHO, DTFI members, Health Programme Officers, MOics/HWOs among others were present in the meeting.
