From early morning, the crisp mountain air echoed with patriotic slogans, the rhythmic marching of participants, and the fluttering of the national flag, proudly displayed by numerous dedicated marchers.
A diverse gathering comprised of personnel from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), the Anini Military Garrison, Arunachal Pradesh Police, alongside committed officials from various government departments, PRI leaders, and enthusiastic school students transformed the town into a dazzling display of saffron, white, and green. Individuals of all ages united in a celebration of national pride and solidarity.
The rally commenced at Jubilee Ground with leadership from MLA Mopi Mihu, Deputy Commissioner Bekir Nyorak, Superintendent of Police Manish Shaurya, and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Theko Tayu.
At the conclusion of the rally, participants collectively took the Swachhata Pledge, initiated by the PHED department, reinforcing their commitment to cleanliness and environmental stewardship. In his inspiring address, MLA Mopi Mihu conveyed, “Anini is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hill towns in our state. Its appeal lies not only in the stunning landscapes but also in the resilient spirit of its people. Together, let us pledge to transform Anini into a model plastic-free town for the entire state to emulate.”
The Deputy Commissioner urged the youth to embrace both patriotism and the responsibility of cleanliness in their everyday lives.
