ITANAGAR, Nov 19: In a swift operation, Itanagar Capital Police apprehended a habitual thief and recovered stolen properties. The accused, Tadar Niba, confessed to breaking into the residence of one Arif Rasul, PPS to Chief Secretary, Govt of AP, on November 17 last.
Stolen items valued at over ` 8.5 lakhs, including a GoPro camera, Samsung tablet, gold ornaments, cash, and mobile phones, were recovered. The dedicated police team's efforts led to the arrest and recovery of additional stolen goods from various locations.
The accused is in police remand for four days. SP Itanagar, Rohit Rajbir Singh, announced rewards for the team's exemplary work, stated a release.
