Namsai, May 24: Minister of RWD, Education, Tourism, Parliamentary Affairs and Libraries, Pasang Dorjee Sona who is also the Guardian Minister of Namsai District chaired a review meeting on various developmental works under central and state schemes here today.
Namsai MLA, Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Secretary RD, PR, Dr. Sonal Swaroop who is also the Mentor Secretary of Namsai were in attendance among others.
Guardian Minister, P D Sona noted the challenges faced by the district and assured that the issues will be addressed to the concerned Ministry. As the Education Minister, he highlighted the foundational gaps in the education system which are contributing to poor performance in Class X and XII exams. He informed the house about the ongoing efforts by the department to rationalise teachers deployment and enhancing the educational scenario of the state. 
Namsai MLA emphasized the need for focused efforts to address youth unemployment in the district.
Dr. Sonal Swaroop, Mentor Secretary, assured that all issues raised during the meeting will be duly communicated to the government.
