ITANAGAR, Mar 21: The Galo Student Union (GSU) has decided to go ahead with its proposed phase wise bandh call against the non-fulfillment of its 9-point demand placed before the state government and adopted a no compromise stand till all their demands are met.

Also in response to the demands of AdiSU seeking non-exclusion of any area under Nari-Koyu Assembly into the newly created Lower Siang District in reference to the recommendation made by Dharmendra Sharma led high power Committee, the GSU clarified that the proposal made by the committee over demarcation of land of Nari-Koyu was never approved by the previous or present government.

The committee has suggested the demarcation only in paper without conducting any field visit and practical verification, said GSU claiming that the committee never had a meeting involving concern legislators of the area or the parent bodies of both the communities together to discuss the serious matter.

Asserting that since ages both the major community had maintained a peaceful co-existence with helping attitude towards each other and never interfered in the general interest of Adis, GSU urged the AdiSU to co-operate in their movement for the greater interest of Nari- Koyu and Lower Siang in particular to alleviate persistent boundary disputes with Assam.
