ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended warm greetings to each and every member of the teaching community of the State on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. He wished that the wisdom, dedication and kindness of our teachers will always guide us on the right path and inspire all to be better human beings.
In his message on the occasion, the Governor said that teaching is one of the most respected professions which have a divine responsibility to guide and enlighten. The influences and experiences the teacher shares with the students remain with them for a lifetime. They lay the foundation and the building blocks of the society. In such spirit, the teachers should be the ‘game changers’ and socially accountable. Our students, when they come out of an education institute, must be an asset to society, employable, and create wealth out of our natural resources, he said.
The Governor said that Teachers’ Day commemorates the birth anniversary of one of the most illustrious sons of India and former President, Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a versatile genius of India, a great scholar, philosopher, teacher and former President, he said.
May the celebrations of this momentous Day inspire us to follow the highest morals, ideals and ethical values preached by Dr. Radhakrishnan and our great Saints and teachers since ancient times, who have immensely contributed to the building of a united, vibrant and prosperous India, the Governor wished in his message.
