ITANAGAR, May 7: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) chaired a meeting at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on Friday to discuss about the master plan for Jarbom Gamlin Government Law College (JGGLC), Jote.
The Governor emphasized that a master plan for JGGLC must be prepared so that the infrastructures are created in a need based manner to cater for the requirements of the campus in the coming years. He asked the concerned officers to take up the infrastructure development of college in a mission mode.
The Governor advised the Education Department to work with farsightedness, timeline and in a cost effective process. The institute must have proper structure for all required amenities by the students and the security apparatus for a conducive educational environment, he said.
At the initiative of the Governor, who recently visited the Law College, issues related to college bus and internet connectivity were sorted out. Water supply and other issues were also discussed and the Commissioner Education Department was directed to finalise all the infrastructural issues and follow up its effective and speedy implementation.
A draft master plan was presented in the meeting by the Engineering Branch of the Education Department. The Governor said that the Master Plan needed full details and after its detailed working out, it should be shown to him also.
Commissioner Education, Ms Padmini Singla, IAS, Er. T. Talo, Chief Engineer, PWD WZ, Director Higher Education A Jongkey, Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Minga Sherpa, IAS and Principal JBGLC Dr. G. George were present in the meeting along with other JGGLC works related officers.
