ITANAGAR, Jul 7: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) reviewed the developmental programmes and projects of Pakke Kessang District on Friday.
The Governor exhorted the officials to have vision, both long term and short-term goals for development of the new district. He advised the officials to encourage and motivate the people for optimum use of their land to be self-reliant and realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat'.
While stressing on giving priority to completion of the District Secretariat, the Governor emphasized on the importance of people and community participation for the progress of the district. He advised on organizational team approach, cooperation amongst the departments and collaboration with expertise agencies. He urged the officials to work hard to achieve their people welfare goals within the timeframes.
The governor reiterated on automation of departmental data. He said that automation will help in proper planning, timely implementation of projects and programmes and optimum utilization of fund. Parnaik, advised the officials to develop the habitation with concept of Smart Villages, which are self-sufficient in term of connectivity, have all essential services and digitally competent.
The Governor expressed concern about the education in the district and called for taking necessary actions. He suggested for special training for the teachers and extra classes to cover the entire syllabus. He stressed on motivating the students and guardians to improve the education scenario of the district.
Pakke Kessang Deputy Commissioner Tayek Pado, Superintendent of Police Habung Hailyang and Heads of Department briefed the Governor regarding the State and Central Governments sponsored schemes, projects and programmes. 
On his arrival at Pakke Kessang, the Governor and the First lady of the State were according traditional reception by the goan burahs, public and officials of the district.
