ITANAGAR, Jun 6: Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) reviewed the process for the annual examination calendar of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) at Raj Bhavan today. Chairman APPSC Nipo Nabam, member APPSC, Major General Jarken Gamlin (Retd.), Chief Secretary Dr. Sharat Chauhan, Principal Secretary to Governor Sandeep Kumar, Commissioner PWD Kaling Tayeng, and Secretary APPSC Dr. Jayanta Kr. Ray, also participated in the review meeting.
The Governor said that APPSC and Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) are very important institutions of the State, dealing with the selection of youths for government services which result in shaping of the state and decide the progress of the state. He emphasized that the selection process of APPSC and APSSB must be only on merit basis and without any scope for error in their selection process.
The Governor suggested that the Commission must fix a date for the State Government to submit the requisition for various vacant posts and also which will be available by the end of the selection process.
Qualification marks in the prelims, physical test for Deputy Superintendent of Police and Common Recruitment Rule were discussed in detail.
