ITANAGAR, Oct 7: On the eve of Indian Air Force (IAF) Day, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) laid wreath at Vayu Yodha Sthal at Eastern Air Command Headquarters, Shillong today.
The Governor expressed gratitude to the Headquarters Eastern Air Command for all the air assistance it has been providing to Arunachal Pradesh, particularly during natural calamities and medical emergencies. He reposed confidence that the Indian Air Force, which is celebrating its 90th Air Force Day will continue to defend every inch of our motherland and instill a sense of security and pride amongst the citizens of the frontier states in the North Eastern Region.
The Governor visited the EAC Hq and interacted with senior Air Force officers on the occasion. Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Air Marshal SP Dharkar, AVSM briefed the Governor about the IAF Eastern Command and its defence capabilities.
