ITANAGAR, Sep 21: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig. (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd.) along with the First Lady of the State, Neelam Misra called on the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi today.
The Governor conveyed to the President the good wishes of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. He also shared the hopes and aspirations of the indigenous tribal people of the border State.
The Governor briefly highlighted the various initiatives of Raj Bhavan and the State Government under Chief Minister Pema Khandu for the wellbeing of Arunachali people and progressive development of the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
As a token of goodwill from the people of Arunachal Pradesh and as a tradition, the First Lady, who has been vigorously promoting the Arunachali loin loom weaving, presented a Apatani coat and soft copy of the documentary, titled ‘Celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav through Loin Loom Weaving of Arunachal Pradesh’, on the occasion.
