Itanagar, Feb 15: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the State, especially the Wancho brethren on the joyous occasion of the Oriah Festival. He expressed hope that the festival will continue to celebrate and rejuvenate the vibrant legacy of their ancestors.
In his message, the Governor said that festivals are a true reflection of our rich cultural heritage, strengthening social bonds and fostering unity across generations. They provide a platform for community elders to pass down their wisdom and traditions, ensuring the cultural essence remains alive and thriving. In this spirit, the Oriah Festival holds deep significance as a sacred celebration seeking the blessings of the Almighty for the well-being of all. It plays a pivotal role in preserving the customs, values, and traditions of the Wancho Tribe, reinforcing their identity and heritage, he said.
On this festive occasion, I join my Wancho brethren in offering prayers to the Almighty for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all, the Governor said in his message.
