ITANAGAR, Aug 28: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) has greeted the people in particular all fellow brethren from the State of Kerala serving in Arunachal Pradesh on the auspicious occasion of Onam and expressed hope that the festival will usher-in peace and prosperity for all.
In his message, the Governor said that Onam, the thanksgiving festival of the harvest season is celebrated with traditional fervour and enthusiasm. The sanctimonious rituals and festivities of Onam are observed to welcome the legendary King Mahabali, who in spirit, is believed to be visiting Kerala at the time of Onam. I wish that this festival ushers in the true sense of unity, integrity, harmony and prosperity in the Nation, he said.
On this pious occasion, I join my fellow citizens of Arunachal Pradesh in extending our good wishes to the people of Kerala. May this year’s Onam strengthen the spirit of unity in diversity in our Society, the Governor said in his message
