Itanagar, Nov 14: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), extended warm greetings to the people of the State on the joyous occasion of Nyethrii Dow, the agricultural festival of the Hrusso (Aka) tribe. He wished that the celebration would bring the benevolent blessings of the Almighty to every household.
In his message, the Governor said that across civilizations, festivals have been central to human life. They express our joy, beliefs, and gratitude, and are deeply rooted in our livelihood and ways of living. As an agrarian society, many of our traditional festivals have long been tied to agriculture, seeking divine blessings for fertile fields, abundant harvests, and protection from natural calamities. Nyethrii Dow reflects the tribe’s vibrant culture and traditions and also plays a vital role in preserving them for the younger generation, he said.
On this festive day, I join my Hrusso (Aka) brethren in offering prayers to the Almighty for peace and the socio-economic well-being of all, the Governor said in his message.
